Barbara Skinner Obituary

Barbara A. Skinner NORFOLK - Barbara A. Skinner, 72, of the 3200 block of Kimball Terrace, departed this life peacefully April 2, 2010. She was born in Norfolk on Aug. 15, 1937 to the late Virginia Williams. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Mack Skinner Sr. and her daughter, Patricia Ann Ingram. She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Corprew, Virginia Butts of Norfolk and Ellen Skinner of Chesapeake; two sons, Andrew Skinner Jr. and Shelton Skinner, both of Norfolk; 30 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins and friends. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Mount Hermon Baptist Church, 3101 Lens Ave., Norfolk, with Pastor Steven Lewis presiding. Interment will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Metropolitan Funeral Service, Berkley Chapel, is in charge. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
