Billy R. Grimsley
Portsmouth - Billy Ray Grimsley, 59, of the 600 block of Elmhurst Lane died Sunday, February 3, 2013 in a Portsmouth hospital. A native of Corpus Christi, TX, he was a deputy with the Portsmouth Sheriff's Department.
Survivors include his wife, Robin M. Grimsley; a daughter, Kimberly Grimsley Boone and husband Steven J. of Suffolk; a son, Nicholas James Grimsley and his fiancée Emily Holland of Suffolk; a sister, Janice Sandefur of Chesapeake; three brothers, David and Richard Grimsley, both of Portsmouth and Dan Grimsley of Suffolk.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 7, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 7-8:30 p.m. and following the graveside service at 2629 Greenwood Dr., Ports. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Portsmouth Sheriff's Dept. Auxiliary Fund.
