Norfolk - Carrie Elizabeth Meyer Suber, 39, of Hanover Avenue in Norfolk passed away unexpectedly March 3, 2013. A native of Richmond, she was the daughter of Edward and Norva Lintecum Meyer. Carrie was a graduate of Randolph-Macon Woman's College and received a Masters Degree in International Relations from the University of South Florida. She was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church where she taught Bible Study and Sunday school. Carrie was also a vibrant part of St. Patrick's Catholic School in Norfolk where she was a history teacher, field hockey coach, and mentor.
She was a devoted spouse and parent. Her kind spirit, sense of humor, creativity, and unwavering devotion to her family, church, school and community will be sorely missed. Carrie will be remembered for her creative spirit and her kind heart but mostly for her nurturing and loving nature. Her absence will be felt most by those in whose lives she was paramount.
Carrie is survived by her husband Luke and their daughters Caroline, Elizabeth, and Carrie. She is also survived by her parents Norva Meyer and Ed Meyer, her brother Patrick Meyer and sister-in-law Julie, her mother and father-in-law John and Marti Suber, and her sister and brother-in-law Sara and Dan Harter. She will be universally missed by family members, colleagues, students, and dear friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Norfolk, Virginia. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Norfolk Chapel is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic School, 1000 Bolling Avenue Norfolk, Va. 23508.
