Cathleen Styron Obituary

Cathleen S. Styron HATTERAS - Cathleen S. Styron, 87, moved on June 11, 2010 at her home in Hatteras, surrounded by her family. Surviving are her daughter, Brenda Freitager and husband Max; daughter, Rhonda Rasmusson and husband Ras; son, Homer Styron and wife Mary; daughter, Anne Styron of the home; son, Edgar Styron; daughter, Sherry Styron and husband Ray; and daughter, Sue Styron and husband Cliff. She had six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Special nieces, Ruby Creason and husband Kenneth, Carol Sue McCracken and husband Mark; many other nieces and nephews; adopted daughter, Dee Callahan; special niece, Irma Austin; and special friend, Edith Olson, survive her. Mrs. Styron was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Edgar L. Styron. A special thank you to Patti and hospice and also Dr. Al Hodges. An avid reader, her special friends were Ms. Helen and her library staff. She loved her family, her home and her Lord. You "better believe it," too.
