Clarence Hink Obituary

Clarence L. Hink PORTSMOUTH - Clarence L. "Butch" Hink passed away at home with family by his side Friday, April 16, 2010, after a long battle with cancer. Butch was born in Bastrop, La., on May 29, 1951. He served 21 years in the U.S. Navy. He was the only son of the late Clarence and Willie Sue Hink of Alabama. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Hink of 36 years; two daughters, Susan Sandifer (Joey) of Virginia and Kimberly Hink (Mike) of Rhode Island; and four grandchildren, Bengerman McPherson, Tiffany Sandifer of Virginia, Ashley Hayhurst and Joseph Pech of Rhode Island. He leaves behind four sisters, Clarissa Jean Lott, Carolyn June Hink, Jennifer CJ Hink and Joanne Rafada (Louie); and one niece, Chloe Rafada of Alabama; and he leaves behind family in Rhode Island. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Hwy. Chapel, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. Condolences may be offered at www.snellingsfuneralhome.com.
