Clyde Blaha Obituary

Clyde Drexel Blaha CHARLES CITY - Clyde Drexel Blaha, 56, of Charles City County, died Friday, April 23, 2010, at his residence. Mr. Blaha was a native of Hopewell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank John and Virginia Brown Blaha; a brother, Frank Blaha Jr.; and a half brother, Charles V. Huff. He was the owner of Blaha Towing Company Inc., a member of the Virginia Pilots Association, the Charles City Dirt Riders and sponsor of Princess Anne Hunt Club. Survivors include a son, Justin D. Blaha; two grandsons, Bradlee and Jordan Blaha, all of Hopewell; two sisters, Marie B. Pearson and husband Sonny and Patricia B. Henderson of Hopewell; a brother, Ronald M. Blaha of Richmond; special friend, Debra L. Cowan of Charles City; several nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held in White Family Cemetery, Charles City County, with the Rev. Dr. Ronald Bullis, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Rescue, 8000 Hicks Road, New Kent, VA 23124. Condolences may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com.
