Crosby Taylor

Crosby Taylor NORFOLK - Crosby Taylor, 89, passed away June 23, 2010. He was born March 1, 1921 to the late Geneva Taylor in Oriental, N.C. He was predeceased by his wife, Christine Taylor and Chester Taylor and Wesley Whitney. Crosby was a member of Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church for 40 years where he served as a trustee. He retired after 24 years from the U.S. government. He is survived by two daughters, Christie White and Brenda Thatch; two sons, Linwood Taylor and Ronald Thatch; six grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church, 1057 Kennedy St. Dr. Shelton Murphy will officiate. Interment will be at Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake.
