As a 14-year-old I found my niche at a 'little old radio station' in the cornfield - thanks Dave for teaching me how to not fry the transmitter during my time at WFOS.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I met Dave at a vital crossroads in my life and he guided me in the right direction. The class was "radio broadcasting," but the lessons were "life 101." Dave has been my friend ever since. I'll miss the jokes, the "$5 rule," and our talks. Dave, thanks, I needed that.

Dave was like a dad to me. Having known him for the 20-something years I have at WFOS, it was an honor and a blessing to have him as my friend and mentor. He was a wonderful human being and loved his family and friends very much. Linda, Kandi, Lee, and the rest of the family have my condolences and prayers with them at this time. Much love to you all.

Linda, I am so sorry to hear about Dave's passing. He was truly a good person and real friend and mentor to many. I enjoyed working with him at WGH many years ago, but I especially enjoyed our conversations over the years about broadcasting in particular and life in general. Even with his recent setbacks, he still had the ability to smile and laugh. He will be missed. Ginny and I will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.

I was lucky enough to work with Dave at Teledyne in the 70s. He was so much fun, and his trivia knowledge and wit kept company morale boosted high. He will be sorely missed. My sympathy goes to family & friends.
