David Michael Rowe
Virginia Beach - David Michael "Mike" Rowe, 41, of Virginia Beach, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Duke University Medical Center.
Born in Norfolk, he was the son of Al and Linda Rowe. Mike will be remembered for his natural talent playing baseball. A graduate of Graham High School, he pitched for their baseball team and earned the nickname "Razor" for his ability to throw a baseball like nobody else. He later followed his passion while attending Pembroke State University and Elon University. A lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed fishing, biking, hiking, gardening and animals, including his cats, Fish and Sushi and beagles, Bailey and Daisy. He will also be remembered for his love of history, especially WWII.
Including his parents, Mike is survived by his brother, Doug Rowe and wife Kim; a sister, Kimberly Greelish and husband Zaldy David Greelish; two nieces, Brooke Rowe and Kayla Greelish; a nephew, Chip Greelish; a maternal grandfather, David Eubank; his former wife and companion, Jean Ramirez Rowe, as well aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Mike's life will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 30, 2012 at the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
