Deborah Chinn Obituary

Deborah C. Chinn VIRGINIA BEACH - Debi Chinn, 54, passed away Dec. 29, 2010 from breast cancer. She was the daughter of the late Erma and Stanley Chinn of Portsmouth. She graduated Class of '75 Cradock High and attended horticultural school while working at Virginia Beach restaurants. She enjoyed her career as a florist, making award winning arrangements. She loved reading, movies, crossword puzzles and shooting pool. She adored animals; cherished the memory of her dog, Reiner. Surviving her are her brother, Gerald Chinn and wife; two nieces and husbands; two great-nieces and one great-nephew, all of Tidewater; a host of cousins and one uncle. A private memorial, as she wished, following cremation. In memory, she would want you to treat yourself to a floral arrangement or make a donation to the SPCA. Special thanks to one of her many friends, Virginia McConnon, for the continued friendship and support throughout Debi's illness. Deb, as her family called her, will truly be missed.

I new Debi in the 80's when she worked at the original Smackwater Jacks. She did indeed cherish Reiner and loved that old 67 Impala of hers.
I'll never forget that smile and that sense of humour.
She was an amazing person.
