Diane Fowler Obituary

Diane Fowler VIRGINIA BEACH - Diane Fowler, 65, of the 5400 block of Gale Drive, died July 6, 2010 in her home. She was born in Norfolk, and was the daughter of Dorothy M. Fowler of Virginia Beach and the late Leroy V. Fowler. Diane was an administrative assistant for the Armed Forces Staff College and was a professional musician for much of her life. She was a member of Freemason Street Baptist Church and member of the quartet there. Prior to that, she was a soloist at Second Presbyterian Church in Norfolk. She was active in teaching and in all church activities. Besides her mother, Diane is survived by a brother, Lee V. Fowler and wife Gail of Virginia Beach; three nephews, Justin, Blair and Cody, all of Virginia Beach; and three cousins, Katherine Williams and Gaye DuPree, both of Charleston, S.C., and Allen W. Smith of Virginia Beach. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 10, at Freemason Street Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. Tim Dixon. A memorial visitation will be held at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, today from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.

We will miss this most gracious of God's children. She was a positive force for some many. Her wit and positive outlook were wonderful, but the twinkle in her eye was the most special! Our sympathy and prayers go to the family.
