Dear Robinson-Griffin Family,
It is with great sadness that I write to you at this your time of grief. Mrs. Griffin was such an inspiration to me and a friend. In 1964 I married the late Dr. Paul Nichols, a Richmond pastor and VUU seminary professor. She was so helpful in befriending me, taking my hand, guiding me to join civic clubs, etc., especially working with the Church Women United. We lived in churchill in the parsonage and I didn't know anybody having grown up in western Henrico County. What a legacy she leaves for all of you and what a void her passing has created. A big part of her will always live in me and continue to serve others. Dr. Dancy and my husband were seminary classmates and best of friends.
Love,
Brenda Dabney Nichols

Dear Family of Doris Griffin,
I was sorry to hear about the homegoing of Mrs. Griffin. I am a member of Bank St and was suffering with a terrible flu when I got the news. I will always remember her as a beautiful and gracious woman who truly loves the Lord. I recall when she led a church event, and had everyone sing "Blest be the Tie that Binds", a song of fellowship and love. Everytime I heard the song after that, I thought about her. And who could forget the hats! Beautiful, lovely hats of every color and material. Now she wears the hat we all aspire to--the crown of glory.
