God Bless her on her new journey and may she live in our hearts and minds forever. She always seemed to have a knack for making the best Lemon Pound Cake. :) I remember one time when I was about the age of five, I was at Grammy Doris' house and there was her pound cake sitting on the counter. It was already cut and ready to eat. So naturally, I sneaked over to the counter and took a piece, then she caught me. I tried to look as though I didn't have the crumbs on my face, but she laughed and gave another piece. Saying that it wasn't my fault the pound cake was so good. :) With love, Rachelle Pucillo, your first born great-granddaughter.

Doris has been one of "my girls" since the 50's and I wondered why I had not heard back from her or you, Vernon, for the past couple of years and now I know that she must not have been well. I always loved her and I will always cherish her memory. May God give you peace in your grief and know that there are many crying and grieving with you. Her Fox Hall Baptist (now Cornerstone) Sunday School Teacher, Betty Harcourt
