Dorothy Lilley Obituary

Dorothy Grey Lilley CHESAPEAKE - Dorothy Grey Lilley, 87, formerly of the 2600 block of Hemple St., went to be with the Lord Nov. 20, 2010. A native of Hyde County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm Vaughn and Nancy Rascoe Cox and wife of the late George H. Lilley. Surviving are two daughters, Joanne L. Adcock and Georgie L. Williams and her husband Roy; five grandchildren, Connie Lassiter, Cindy Bryant, Ralph Boan Jr., Roy Williams Jr., and Jennifer Collins; 21 great grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a stepbrother, the Rev. Millard Cox; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Robin Padgett and Belinda Crist. A funeral will be held Tuesday at noon in Grace Baptist Temple, 1101 Burns St., Chesapeake with Pastor Matt Nettesheim. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in Graham Funeral Home, Chesapeake, Monday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Please visit her "Book of Memories" at www.grahamfuneralhome.com where you may leave a note to the family.
