Edward Turner Obituary

Edward L. Turner NORFOLK - Edward Lawrence "Mr. Turner" Turner, 73, died April 23, 2010. Mr. Turner was born to the late Walter and Elizabeth Turner in South Hampton County, Virginia. He is survived by a brother, James Turner (Yvonne) of Toledo, Ohio; a very dear and devoted sister, Odessa Turner-Johnson of Norfolk; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including Vernon Baslow, Novella Johnson, Candice Stephenson, Rosalind Hollis, Camellia Turner and godson, Quadrell Stephenson. Viewing will be today from 3:30 to 8 p.m. at Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, 436 W. 35th St., Norfolk. Homegoing services will be held at the grave site Friday, April 30, at 11 a.m. in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, with Pastor Ronald Stith officiating. Repast will immediately follow at 701 East St., Norfolk. Special thanks to Sentara Leigh ICU and PCU. The family requests that those attending meet at the funeral home no later than 9:45 a.m. to accompany the procession.
