Virginia Beach - Emanuel G. Delidakis passed away surrounded by his loved ones on January 21, 2013. He was born on June 17, 1972, in Memphis, Tenn. He was the son of Katerina Kalburos and George Delidakis. Emanuel (Manos) was a loving husband, father, son and brother. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and for his kind and caring nature. He was raised mostly in Virginia Beach, where he met Andrula, his devoted wife of 15 years, and raised his two children, Katerina and Costas. For the past 17 years he and his family have owned North End Pizza in Virginia Beach. With hard work, Emanuel and his brother Theodore turned North End Pizza into successful restaurants.
Emanuel was always giving to his community and helping others. Manos has dedicated his life to his loving wife Andrula and two beautiful children Katerina and Costas. He is also survived by his sweet brother Theodore (Teddy), his uncle Pete and aunt Patricia of New York, uncle Ceasar of Greece, his mother-in-law Helen Pratsi, his sisters-in-law Maria Harless (William) and Paula Achilleos (Achilleas). Emanuel is also survived by many loving friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday January 23, 2013 from 6:30- 8:30 PM with a Trisagion service to be held at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Great Neck Chapel Wednesday at 6:30 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday January 24, 2013 at 11 AM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 7220 Granby St. Norfolk, VA by Fr. Constantine P. Rogakos, Fr. Seraphim Poulos and Fr. John Manuel. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Delidakis Scholarship Fund for Katerina and Costas C/O Towne Bank at 984 First Colonial Rd., Virginia Beach.
