Enoch Etheridge

Enoch S. Etheridge CHESAPEAKE - Enoch Sylvester "Rock" Etheridge of the 1900 block of Robert Hall Blvd., passed away Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010. Born in Norfolk County, on July 13, 1926, he was the son of the late Peter and Eva Etheridge. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers. He retired from Chesapeake Public Schools as a custodian and was a faithful member of New Willow Grove Baptist Church, where he participated in Sunday School, and was involved in the Men's Day Celebrations. Left to cherish his everlasting memories are one daughter, Diana Oliver (Robert) of Chesapeake; two sons, Andre Jones (Danielle), of Chesapeake, and Connell Jones (Natalie) of Stafford, Va.; one sister, Sophia Alexander of Chesapeake; 12 grandchildren; other relatives and friends. A homegoing celebration will be held Thursday, Oct. 28, at noon in New Willow Grove Baptist Church in Chesapeake with the Rev. John Hassell officiating.
