Eric Keffer

Eric N. Keffer NORFOLK - Eric Neal Keffer, 49, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010 in Norfolk. Eric was born Nov. 20, 1960 in Norfolk. He was the son of the late John Walter Keffer and Dana Hochstetler Keffer. Eric was a lifelong member of Mount Pleasant Mennonite Church. His most recent occupation was an owner-operator truck driver with 5 Star Transport. His favorite destination was Holmes County, Ohio, where he always stopped at Der Dutchman Restaurant. His whole life was his beautiful wife, his precious "little girl" Holly and his "little buddy" Andy. Eric had master licenses in electrical, gas fitting and HVAC. He was also a master mechanic and licensed general contractor. He was blessed with the ability to do anything he put his mind to and do it successfully. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sharon; his daughter, Holly Marie and husband Ryan Meeks; his son, Andrew Neal and fiancée Dana Edwards; his mother, Dana Hochstetler Keffer; his four brothers, Alan (Linda), Dale (Shirley), Gary (Kim) and Lynn (Debbie) Keffer; his five sisters, Dorothea (Albert) Besso, Marilyn Keffer, Deanna (Mike) Curling, Juanita (Rick) Harris and Allene Webb, all of Chesapeake. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, in Mount Pleasant Mennonite Church, 2041 Mount Pleasant Road, Chesapeake. The Rev. Dale Keffer, the Rev. Keith Miller and the Rev. Sam Scaggs will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The viewing will begin with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, April 27, in Mount Pleasant Mennonite Church.
