Florence Fraser Obituary

Florence T. Fraser VIRGINIA BEACH - Florence T. Fraser, 86, went to be with the Lord June 16, 2010. She was born July 25, 1923 in Norfolk, the daughter of the late Harry and Edna Thomas. Florence loved to sew and travel, and was a member of the Eastern Star, Bayside Chapter. Children were very special to Florence and for more than 29 years, she drove a school bus in Virginia Beach and Yorktown for special needs children. She was devoted to her family and loved them deeply. Florence was preceded in death by her daughter, Hattie Rae Cullifer. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 69 years, E. Otto Fraser of Virginia Beach; daughters, Harriett Laskin of Suffolk, Louise Forrest of Virginia Beach and Faye Behnke of Houston; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. A funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with burial in Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News at 2 p.m. You may offer your love and condolences to the family at www.smithandwilliamskempsville.com.
