Frances Beldon Obituary

Frances C. Beldon CHESAPEAKE - Frances Carole Beldon, 70, formerly of Chesapeake, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, after a long- standing battle with cancer. Born April 27, 1940 in Frederick County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Carl Mercer and Mittie Sappington Thomas. Mrs. Beldon graduated from Frederick High School in 1958. She also attended Stratford College, the University of Maryland, and Marshall College. She was a homemaker and worked many years for Bank of America. Surviving are two children, daughter, Lora Beldon of Richmond; son, Patrick Beldon, stationed in Okinawa, Japan; along with daughter- in-law Carol Beldon and grandchildren, Hannah and Hayden Beldon; as well as two siblings, George Mercer Thomas and Betty Lee Rollins of Frederick; a niece and nephew, Anne Rollins of Frederick and Chris Rollins, of New Jersey. Mrs. Beldon was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Thomas. A memorial visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3rd at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home located at 106 E. Church St., in downtown Frederick. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Frederick County P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, Md. 21702-1799. My whole family will miss Carole. She spent several holidays with us and we shared many laughs over the antics of the grandchildren.Both hers and ours. She certainly loved her grandchildren. I will miss our lunches together. Our condolences to all of you.

Carol always talked about how much she loved her children and how proud she was of them. I know you will miss her.
