Grace Burnett Obituary

Grace Pope Burnett ROANOKE - Grace Lavenia Pope Burnett, 99, passed away Monday, July 5, 2010 in Lewis-Gale Medical Center. Mrs. Burnett was born on Nov. 17, 1910 in Carroll County, Virginia to Isaac Hamilton and Lola Bell Roberts Pope. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Burnett and daughter Mary Ann Burnett. She is survived by two daughters, Marie Bickel and Betty Lavering, both of Roanoke, Va.; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 10, in Monta Vista Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Camet Spivey officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 8 at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. A guestbook is available online at www.vaughanguynn.com.

Bringing back all those we love
Giving thanks to GOD above
