Ida T. Joyner PORTSMOUTH - Ida Mae Tolbert-Joyner, 58, of the 200 block of Dale Drive, died Sept. 23, 2010 surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Troy, Ala., to the late John Tolbert and Gussie Mae Shipmen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Joyner. Survivors include three children, Michael, Shepperd and Precious; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A wake will be held Friday, Oct. 1, from 7 to 8 p.m. in Coprew Funeral Home. A funeral will be held Saturday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m. in New St. Thomas Baptist Church, Highland Avenue, Portsmouth. Burial will follow in Carver Park Cemetery in Murfreesboro, N.C. On the day of the service, the family will assemble at 617 A Geneva Ave., Chesapeake.
