Inez Batten Pulley VIRGINIA BEACH - Inez Randolph Batten Pulley, 89, died Monday, Sept. 13, 2010. She was the widow of Richard H. Pulley Jr. Born in Princess Anne County April 18, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Amos Otto Batten and Ethel Lawrence Batten. She was a member of Virginia Beach Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and a former volunteer with the American Cancer Society. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two half brothers, Lawrence Dunn and William Dunn She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Virginia Pulley of Forest and David and Deborah Pulley of Virginia Beach; six grandchildren, Victoria (Joe) Wilkinson, William (Kelly) Joyner, Ann Batten Pulley, Catherine Inez (Acharkouk) Youness, Richard H. Pulley IV (Michael Midgette), David Randolph Pulley Jr. (Lindsey); five great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, by the Rev. Ann B. Pulley. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 2002 Laskin Road, Virginia Beach. In lieu of flowers, memorials may take the form of contributions to Virginia Beach SPCA, 3040 Holland Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23453. H.D.
