Isabel was born June 5, 1956 in Norfolk, VA. She grew up and lived most of her life in Atlanta, GA. She attended The Lovett School in Atlanta & Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia. She was a flight attendant for most of her career.
Issy, as family & friends knew her, was extremely devoted to her children and family. She was deeply empathic and never hesitated to help someone in need, and always offered a helping hand to a stranger. She loved to read, feed the birds & squirrels & had an extraordinary sense of style and great wit. Issy loved all animals, especially the many pets that she has joined now. She gave regularly to various animal support organizations. The family will have a private service and burial and requests that in lieu of flowers, on Isabel's behalf, you may make a donation to the animal support
Isabel was preceded in death by her father O. Raymond Yates, Jr. And her son, Kevin Howard Kirkpatrick, Jr. Although she fought hard to stay here for her daughter, she is in the loving hands of her son now, and Kevin will take good care of her.
