Jack D. Bullock, Sr.|
Virginia Beach - Jack D Bullock, Sr, the youngest of thirteen siblings and son of the late Rev Oscar J and Matttie L Burnette Bullock, entered into his eternal rest on November 5th, 2012 at Ocala Regional Health Center in Ocala, Fl.
Jack was educated in Norfolk Public Schools. Born and reared in Norfolk, VA in the Lamberts Point neighborhood, Jack worked for Norfolk Southern Railroad and later in the Postal Service in New York before retiring and moving back to Norfolk. He was a member of Celestial Baptist Church in Portsmouth, VA. His greatest love for life and his gift of praising God through song never faded as he was a member of his churches choirs and The Voices of Norfolk.
Many years later he moved to Ocala, Fl to be close to his eldest son, Jack (Ann) and family.
He was predeceased by brothers, James O, Willie Lee and sisters, Kate Lawson, Ardella Perry, Mattie(Kitty) L Chatman, Artelia Jordan and Eunice Butcher.
Jack is survived by his brother Adolphus Bullock of Boston, MA, a daughter Pamela Sands of Virginia Beach, VA, sons Jeffrey Bullock of West Orange , NJ, Jerard Mark Bullock of Milford , CT. and Jack Bullock Jr of Ocala Florida and by 13 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and faithful friends.
A future memorial and family & friends farewell service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013, 12 Noon at Keith Matthews Funeral Home, 5665 E Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502.
