Aunt Annis, Janet, Billy & Susan:
Very sad to hear of Uncle Bill's passing. I have many good memories of riding in the back of the Rambler to the movies or other special places and good times at the house in Chesapeake spending the night with Susan. Uncle Bill was always fun to be with.
He always had antique cars on Thole St, and I remember he let me ride with him once, that was a big treat!
I can only imagine the loss you are feeling, my thoughts are with you through this difficult time.

We were so sad to hear of Bill's passing. We have very pleasant memories of Bill and Annis while camping at Rema, and sitting around the fire talking and eating. Bill was the one who encouraged us to join Tab after attending for several years, and eventually serving with him as a deacon. Our thanks to the Lord for giving us a friend like Bill, a man who served the Lord with joy and a twinkle in his eye.

Whether he was keeping me from running into traffic on Thole Street on the way to children's church as a kid, or helping me 30 years later when I was church treasurer keep the Helping Hand budget straight, Mr. Jolley was always looking out for me. He modeled servant leadership, faithfulness, and humility to generations of Tab Church men just like me. He will be greatly missed. Liz and I are praying for all the family at this difficult time.

To Mrs Jolley and family, how I will miss Mr. J he was the only one I could see "Eye to Eye" with. How we used to laugh about that and all our expierences with the 'coffee house' we created in the '60's for John Guess at TAB. I will greatly miss him yet thank our Heavenly Father that he's with Him and no longer in pain. What blessed memories you have and may they continue to comfort you each day.

Dear Annis and the extended Jolley family,

We will all miss Bill greatly. It was always a pleasure and joy to be with him –he kept you laughing. Even when you were feeling down he would lift you up. Bill and you Annis became close friends that enriched our lives greatly and made our time in Norfolk of great joy. The bonds formed in those years have continued to be strong.

We know that Bill is with the Lord he loves which is far better for him and we are all comforted by this assurance. May the Lord comfort you with the truth of I Thessalonians 4: 13-18. The Greek work in the Bible for comfort is a beautiful word picture of how God in His grace comforts us in times like these. "Parakaleo" is made up of two words "para" meaning along side of and "kaleo" meaning to call. May our loving Lord call you close along side of Himself and comfort you is our prayer.

In Christian Love,

Ed & Mary Lee Walker

Grammy, we are celebrating Granddad's life and graduation from Central Asia. We wish we could be there with you and could have been there to say goodbye.

Following Central Asian custom, our family is staying home for three days and about 50 neighbors and friends have stopped by to pray with us. We have special mats set up outside our gate showing the community that someone in our family has passed on and as they enter they see the picture of your 65th anniversary on the table and the story of how you met. We've had many opportunities yesterday & today to pray with neighbors and friends and explain to them that we can be certain Granddad is now in heaven because of what Jesus has done.

It's been fun to share stories about Granddad's jokes, coin collections, and his enjoyment of visiting other countries and learning language and culture so quickly.

We love you and treasure the memories.

Granddaddy,

We love you and miss you!!!!!
Thank you for your love, the way you modeled a life of extending Christ's love, and for your wonderful sense of humor! I will treasure all of the special memories of time with you!!!

It is disappointing to be so far away and to not have been able to spend the last few days of your life here on this earth with you... but we also know that it is because of your prayers and example that we are serving the Lord as missionaries here in Japan!

We love you Granddaddy!! You are always treasured in out hearts!!
