James Leland Obituary

James Phillip Leland Sr. VIRGINIA BEACH - James Phillip "Jimmy" Leland Sr., 65, a lifetime Norfolk resident, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010. Jimmy was owner and operator with his brother, Donald, of D. J.'s Cars and Trucks in Virginia Beach. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank D. Leland Jr. and his brother, Donald Lee Leland. Survivors include his mother, Lottie Moye of Virginia Beach; two sons, James P. Leland Jr. of Virginia Beach and Rodney Leland of Arkansas; one sister, Peggy Leland King; one brother, Dee Gee Leland both of Norfolk; five grandchildren; and his favorite dog, Little Chrissy. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at the home of Jim Leland Jr., 621 Reef Key, Virginia Beach, VA 23452. The family would like to express special thanks to the doctors, nurses and hospice care at Sentara Bayside Hospital for all their care and compassion. Arrangements by W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home.
