James McClure Obituary

James N. McClure Jr. WILLIAMSBURG - James N. McClure Jr., M.D., 80, died Nov. 15, 2010. He is loved and missed by his wife, Sharon; his sister, Mary Lou; children, James John, Sarah, Barry Lee, Crystal and Gregory Ware; and grandchildren, Cassidy, Braden, Gregory Wayne, Kelly, Jesseca and Olivia. Dr. McClure enjoyed the practice of psychiatry until his retirement in 2000, and had a wide range of interests including politics, history, movies, literature and humor. He was a great teacher and truly a "people person." He had a soft spot for stray animals, rescued many, and wanted any remembrances, in lieu of flowers, to go to a rescue organization for "wayward pets."

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I had the opportunity of getting to know Dr. McClure while I was at Consulate Healthcare. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always brought laughter to our physical therapy sessions. My thoughts and condolences are with you and your family.
