Janie Morris Obituary

Janie Morris NORFOLK - Janie Morris departed this life quietly Monday, Dec. 6, 2010 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. A native of Tillery, N.C.; she was born Aug. 18, 1921 to the late Archie and Rodelia Tillery. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Morris; son Bobby Morris; sisters Landora Morriss and Rosa McClain; and brothers, Walter, Ulyessess and Arcelious Tillery. She leaves to cherish her memory, three sons, Douglas Morris, Marvin Morris (Connie) of Norfolk and Naeem Jahad (Pam) of Fayetteville, N.C.; two daughters, Patricia Morris and Janice Morris, both of Norfolk; two sisters, Coretta Little and China Locust of Norfolk; 17 grand- children, 21 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the 4th floor Nursing Staff of the Norfolk Health Care Facility. A viewing will be held Friday, Dec. 10, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Hale Funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday, Dec. 11, at 11 a.m. at First Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Hale Funeral home is handling arrangements. www.halefuneralhome.com.
