Joe Going Obituary

Joe B. Going Jr. VIRGINIA BEACH - Joe B. "Joey" Going Jr. tossed his last frisbee Nov. 23, 2010 and it landed beyond the realms of earth. Born to Joe and Elizabeth Going Sept. 21, 1960 in Knoxville, Tenn., Joey spent his formative years in Virginia Beach. Graduating from Princess Anne High School in 1978, Joey then earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Old Dominion University in 1982. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, sisters Traci Pannenbacker and husband Dennis of Chesapeake and Leigh C. Porterfield and husband Kevin of Charlotte, N.C. Joey will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. A service of remembrance will be conducted Tuesday, Dec. 7, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the chapel of the Unitarian Church of Norfolk, 739 Yarmouth St. All friends of Joey are invited to join the family for this service.
