Dad,
Well its been a month today since you left us and what a month it's been. The feeling of being so lost is overwhelming. You touched so many lives in so many ways. I certainly miss seeing your smiling face when I come home from work and our alone time when I would take you to the doctors. Boy, if my car doors could talk huh? Watch over Mom, she needs to know you are still with her. I love you!

Dad~

What can I say except that I miss and love you. My heart bleeds because I can no longer hug you or kiss your forehead. But, I am the luckiest girl in the world for having such an amazing father. How many women can say that? You would walk me to the bus stop daily, brush my hair, wipe off my knees if I fell down, you were there for my cheerleading events, you brought me flowers at my high school graduation, you were there for the birth of Jaycee, and you gave me away at my wedding. Man I have been blessed to have such a great father. Thank you for being you (I know you can't help yourself). You have inspired me and your legacy will always live on. It's crazy to see how many peoples lives you impacted, everyone seemed to really like you (for some reason)! I will miss your history stories the most because I never really knew just how much I appreciated them until now and I wish more then ever that I could hear just one more. Life is just a little bit duller without you. I know that you are now in heaven looking upon all of us (I hope you know someone up there I know you were worried you might not know anyone in heaven). I guess you can say that this old sailor has found his way safely home into the house of the Lord. I love you Daddy, thank you for being my Hero!

Poppy~

What I will miss about you the most is hearing your voice when I walked into your house saying "Where's my girl?" or how you would save me all of your happy meal toys for me so that you could give them to me when I came over to visit you. I can't believe that Aunt Denise found a toy waiting for me in your dresser drawer. You were always funny like that. Like I told you the night you passed away, this is not Good-Bye its See You Later. I love and miss you always.

Pop Pop said I was his hero for saving his life, but he was the true hero, my hero. He was like a father to me and I loved him and respected him. I remember sitting on the swing just talking about stuff and then joking everyone while sitting at the dining room table. He would give me a hard time about my hair, well Pop Pop, I have seen your Glamour Shot picture!! I love you and miss you.

Pop Pop told me that I was a hero for saving his life, but really he was the true hero, my hero. He was the closest thing I had to a father and I looked up to him and respected him. I remember sitting out on the swing with him just talking about stuff and how we would sit at the dining room table and joke everyone. And Janine was right, you don't have to be blood to be family. Pop Pop would always ask where Billy was when we sat down to eat. He would show his love by joking around with you. He would say random things, for example, if you were leaving and you would say Ill be back, he would respond by saying "Thanks for the warning". Just one more thing Pop-Pop, all those times you would joke my hair, we all I got to say is, Ive seen your Glamour Shots picture!!! I love you and miss you more than you know. Michael

Any man can be a father, but it takes a special man to be a DAD. And Dad, you were the most special of all. Thank you for teaching me that family is not all about blood, but what's in one's heart. I will miss you, Dad. I love you.

Pop pop,

Even though everyone took different paths over the years fate was kind enough to have brought us together a few times. I am glad that I got to meet and talk to you. I will always remember the last time I talked to you over 10 years ago. Dad and I came to visit you at your home...Listening to you talk about history, hearing the stories you had to tell about the past and seeing every single one of your childrens photos on the wall. I am so sad that for whatever reason we didnt get to know each other better but blessed for the time we had. It is time for you to rest and be with all of those you loved so much that left before you. Give them all kisses and hugs and send us a smile from heaven from time to time.

Rest In Peace Pop Pop

Love your Grandaughter-
