Chesapeake - John Leo Callahan of Morrisville, PA died Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, with his family by his side. He was 54.
Born in Syracuse, NY John lived in Marcellus, NY, Chesapeake, VA and Yardley, PA before moving to Morrisville 21 years ago.
John was a self-employed handyman, owning his own home improvement company. He also enjoyed working as an associate at Home Depot.
He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he was a member of the church choir for 15 years.
He loved woodworking, home projects, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
John is survived by his loving wife Beverly (Kuhn) Callahan; his parents, Michael and Mary Fran (Leach) Callahan of Chesapeake, VA; four sisters, Mary Anne Callahan of Greensboro, NC, Therese Cogeos of Denver, CO, Patricia Callahan and husband, Bob Wislinski of Columbia, SC, Kate Callahan and her husband, John Moore of Suffolk, VA, a brother Dan and his wife Lora Callahan of Chesapeake, VA; his mother and father-in-law, Robert and Beverly Kuhn of McMurray, PA.
Internment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
