John Marshall

John Daniel Marshall VIRGINIA BEACH - John Daniel Marshall, 83, died in Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital Oct. 22, 2010. He was a native of Victoria, Va., and the son of the late Early and Wilbon Marshall. He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Kathryn Brown Marshall. Mr. Marshall was owner of Marine Transport for a number of years. He is survived by a sister, Gladys Speight of Virginia Beach; a sister-in-law, Mildred Brown of Gluckstadt, Miss.; and several nieces and nephews. He was a member of Thrifts Chapel Methodist Church of Victoria and frequently attended Bayside Baptist Church of Virginia Beach. A memorial service will be held Oct. 30, at Hollomon- Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, at noon with the Rev. Mark Pullen officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Bayside Baptist Church, American Heart Association and American Cancer Society.
