Joseph Nemeth Obituary

Joseph Nemeth III VIRGINIA BEACH - Retired U.S. Navy Chief Warrant Officer 4, Joseph Nemeth III, 68, passed away Friday, Nov. 12, 2010 after a two- year battle with cancer. A native of Coopersburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Helen and Joseph Nemeth II and the widower of Dorothy Nemeth. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 26 years of service. Joseph then went to work at Alliance North America Valve where he worked for 12 years before retiring to Virginia Beach to be with his two sons. He is survived by his son, David Young; two granddaughters, Sarah Young and Kristie Young; four sisters, Rosemarie Crouthamel, Dorothy Hunsberger, Diane Hunsberger and Josephine Stradling and husband Edward; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Joseph Nemeth IV and one brother, Jeffrey Nemeth. A funeral will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in Haygood United Methodist Church. The burial will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in Hollomon- Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, today from 6 to 8 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
