Joyce McGue Obituary

Joyce B. McGue NORFOLK - Joyce B. McGue, 70, of the 6400 block of Devonshire Road passed away Nov. 29, 2010. She was born Nov. 13, 1940 to the late Percy L. and Geraldine Brown Williams in Southampton County. She was a beautician for more than 30 years and a member of Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church Norfolk. She is survived by two children, Harold McGue Jr. and Stephanie McGue Brown (Willie); three grandchildren, Joyce, Kenneth Jamal and Jaliyn Brown; siblings, Percy (PJ), Dianne, Mattie and Wanda (George), Debra, Gillous (Marcia) and Pamela; one uncle, John D. Brown; one aunt, Marie Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church, 1057 Kennedy St. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. The family will receive friends 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Metropolitan Funeral Service, Granby St. Chapel. Condolences may be offered at www.metrpolitanfuneralservice.com.
