Juanita Bridgeman Obituary

Juanita B. Bridgeman PORTSMOUTH - Juanita Barnes Bridgeman, 92, died Dec. 1, 2010, at Parson's Residential. She was born in Portsmouth, and was the daughter of the late Ira D. Barnes Sr. and Lillie Holland Barnes. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie C. Bridgeman. She was a lifelong member of Cottage Place United Methodist Church and member of the Order of Eastern Star. Juanita is survived by three nieces, Frances Walker (Wesley), Denise Slaughter (Johnny) and Eileen Vicars all of Portsmouth; and one nephew, Kenny Barnes of North Carolina. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Parsons Residential for the loving care and devotion they have shown. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. Lynne Hundley. Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.snellingsfuneralhome.com.
