Karen Farris Obituary

Karen White Farris VIRGINIA BEACH - Karen White Farris, 62, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010 at her home. Born in Front Royal, Va., to Naomi and Robert White, Karen was employed with William E. Wood and Associates for 15 years and was a Realtor, associate broker and formerly a manager. She was a graduate of Radford University and the Realtor Institute. She was a member of the National Association of Realtors, Virginia Association of Realtors, Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority and a number of civic and social organizations. Karen is survived by her husband, John C. Farris; a daughter, Stacey E. Rouse and husband Jerry of Albuquerque, N.M.; a sister, Bonnie White Hurley and husband Terrance of Linden, Va.; and a grandchild, Collin W. Rouse of Albuquerque. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Massey Cancer Center, P.O. Box 980214, Richmond, VA 23298 or online at www.massey.vcu.edu/givenow. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
