Keith Lee Vickers CHESAPEAKE - Keith Lee Vickers, 84, went to be with the Lord Sunday, June 27, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Oct. 21, 1925 in Lincoln County, West Virginia, the son of the late Marion E. and Grace J. Vickers. He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Mary Louise Vickers; a daughter, Maxine; and a brother, James D. Vickers. Keith was a member of Brent-Lox Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Criger and husband Roy; his son, Randy L. Vickers, all of Chesapeake; six grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren; and one great- great-grandchild; six sisters, Arbutus Moore, Jean VandeLind and husband Bob, Syvilla Morris, Roberda Curry, Janette Lovejoy and Nyoka Nafranowiz and husband Alex; and a brother, Dane Vickers and wife Diana. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 1, at the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake. The Rev. Ray Hall will officiate. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The viewing will begin Wednesday with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
