My son and I were so sadden to hear about your mom. She taught my son at Lynnhaven Middle, I met her at Open House 2010 and immediately liked her she was so frank and positive talking about her illness and was so determined not to skip a beat with her class! I saw and spoke to her several times that year and she always had a moment to talk and always had a smile!
Just know she will always be with you and watch over you forever!

I knew Kim as her mentor when she taught at Blair Middle School. Her fantastic ability to reach her students and her sweet and joyous personality made me know that she would be a wonderful teacher. It was my pleasure to know her, and I have thought of her often, and I cannot express how sad I am to hear this news. God Bless her children and all her loved ones. She was a beautiful soul. I feel blessed to have known her. Patricia Dotson

Savannah and Casey,
Please know how very saddened I am for the loss of your beloved mother. I send you my deepest condolences for you and for your family. I have such fond memories of your mother. She was such a kind, caring and loving individual. We worked together at GTE and I can recall her speaking of you the two of you and can picture her face glowing with pride. Please know that you both added so much joy and love to her life. I can't imagine how painful it is for you both. Having lost someone is a difficult moment of life. May God provide you the strength you need to cope with this difficult situation.
May Kim rest in peace,

Kim and I worked together at Lynnhaven Middle School. Her warm and caring heart radiated through out the entire school building. She was an excellent teacher, and a warm and friendly co-worker. I would like the family to know that we are sharing in your sorrow. I pray that the Lord will help you to find strength, solace and comfort.
God Bless,

I "met" Kim through a cancer blog and she was one of the first people to reach out to me and provide support and comfort. She loved her family so much. I am saddened by her loss and am sending the girls much love in this difficult time.

When I think of Kim, I think of sunbeams that come down through the grey clouds. Even with all the hard times she endured - she was always able to be that pillar of strength for her and her girls. Her Light was always there, in her steadfast way....she managed to live, to love. Further, she was always there for me...to help me with my own battles. I will miss my friend, but I know her legacy will be carried thru all the blessings she's bestowed upon her girls. With all the love she gave me, I give to the family. I am so sincerely sorry for the loss of Kim. She was truly an angel. What a blessing for her to have been part of my life.

It was a pleasure working with you at Blair Middle School. These past few years have been difficult for you; however, those of us who admired you take comfort knowing you suffer no more. Thanks be to God for the life of Kimberly Gorman Vaughan and the positive impact you made on so many. May you rest in peace, Kim.

I only knew Kim through a cancer blog and never met her in person, but she had become a friend and supporter of mine. She was always concerned for others, even in the middle of her own battle. My deepest condolences go out to her family. May she rest in peace.

Casie & Savannah, your mom was such a great individual always happy, always smiling inspite of the past few years and struggles. A great inspiration to all of us who knew and loved her. She has done a remarkable job with both of you girls in making you what lovely girls you are today. Losing a parent, losing a child is devistating. Just know you have caring neighbors and friends willing to step in at any time for you. You can call on me any time day or night. Gerry Dashiell-Richter

To all of the family of Kim- I cannot express my sadness in hearing about the loss of such a sweet, gentle soul at such a young age. I know how much Roger loved her and she loved him, and I pray that they are in each others arms yet agatin. It is hardest on those Left behind to reconcile how two such wonderful people can be taken from you so young... all I know is that sometimes it is not the amount of time you have with someone, but the path on which they traveled and touched so many that matters. Kim and Roger both did that, I pray for Savannah and Casey and all of you during this difficult time. JO
