Larry Bobst Obituary

Larry S. Bobst VIRGINIA BEACH - Larry S. Bobst, 71, went to be with the Lord May 24, 2009. Born in Honesdale, Pa., he was the son of Maurice and Mary Bobst. Larry was a retired naval officer and had a second career as a family financial planner. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Margaret; three sons, David, Christopher and wife Kristen, Jonathan and wife Nathalie; four grandchildren, Alec, Johanna, Madeline, and Cateline; his brother, Maurice and wife Mary; and a host of family and friends. Larry was an elder in his church where he loved singing in the choir. He was an enthusiastic volunteer at the Virginia Aquarium and spent many happy hours working in his yard and garden. His love of life and wonderful sense of humor will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all. A memorial service will be in Bayside Presbyterian Church Saturday at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bayside Presbyterian Church, 1400 Ewell Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23455 or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network Inc., Pan Can, 2141 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 7000, El Segundo, CA 90245. Cremation Society of Virginia, Virginia Beach office, is assisting the family.
