I feel like I have lost my Grandma because she was very special to me. She always welcomed me into her home and treated me like family. I am glad I took the time to visit her 3 years ago and get the benefit of seeing her interact with her church congregation and ministry. I will always remember that visit as one of the good times. God bless you Lavern as you also remeber the good times.

Godmother often talked about the moment when she would see Jesus and what a glorious time that would be. As she was able to experience many of her wishes in life, I am sure that none has elated her spirit more than this meeting. We had a special thing going on and "her boys" and I will miss her, dearly.

The Family of Loris Gwaltney Gray:

Loris, Charles, LaVerne, Tammy and family my prayers are with you. I was told by Mrs. Loris Gwaltney Gray not to stand over her crying when she is laying there in front of me. I cried Tuesday, April 6th after my visit with her. I just sat in the parking lot at Riverside Convolescent Center and had a few tears as I had memories of our times together. The next time I went to visit Mrs. Gray I took Carol Warren and Sheila Warren, because I did not want to be alone when I left. Mrs. Gray shared a lot of encouraging words with me, jokes and even a few secrets (smile). I am going to miss Mrs. Gray. I am going to miss the talks we shared, her smile, the jokes and laughs that we shared together, and most importantly our talks about God and living right. Mrs. Gray impacted my life with her love, caring way and wisdom. The essence of who she is as a person will live within me and others for years to come. I know that Mrs. Gray is where she wants to be now. Home with the Lord. Let not your hearts be troubled: believe in God. (John 14:1) She is a true women of God. I have learned a lot from her. Now I know I really have to be on my best behavior because I will always hear her voice saying, "Cynthia, I'm glad you have your own mind. Don't let anyone take that away." I am glad our paths crossed. I will have the joy in remembering all she has meant to me.

Mrs. Gray was a Vital Vigorous Dedicated Senior. Diming Lights, Slowing Steps, But Not Forgotten.

"Blessed are they that mourn; for they shall be comforted." (Matthew 5:4)

My prayers are with you and your family. May you find comfort in your fond memories of your Loved One that is Singing with the Angels in Heaven.

Many Blessings,
