Lottie Brown Obituary

Lottie M. Brown CHESAPEAKE - Lottie M. Brown, 81, of the 1600 block of Plantation Woods Way, died May 27, 2010. Born in Littleton, N.C., she was daughter of the late Beatrice and Plummer Hooper. Mrs. Brown was educated in Norfolk County schools and was the widow of Robert L. Brown Sr. She retired in 1992 as a food service assistant manager after 25 years with the City of Chesapeake Public Schools. Mrs. Brown was member of Smyrna Church of Christ Holy Disciples where she served as vice president of the Missionary Board, and as a faithful member and Prayer Warrior for the Angel Food Ministry. Survivors include her daughter, Annette Brown Goldsberry (Gordon); three sons, Robert L. Brown Jr. (Karen), Randy L. Brown (Celetta), Ronnie L. Brown (Sandra); a sister, Eliza Reid; a brother, Robert Lee Richardson (Lucy); eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one special niece, Terri Sorrell (John); and one great-nephew, Jalen Sorrell. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, in Holy Trinity Church No. 1, 3611 Thorne Ave., Portsmouth, by Pastor Randy L. Brown. A wake will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. today in Smyrna Church of Christ Holy Disciples. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Church, Chesapeake. Corprew Funeral Home is in charge.
