Norfolk - On Tuesday, October 16, 2012, God called home one of his most precious angels, Lynn Cyrie Hawkins, of Norfolk, Va. Raised in the Campostella area, she was one of five children. Lynn was predeceased by her parents, Isaac N. Wilson Jr. and Odaris M. Wilson.
Lynn never stopped sharing what made her unique and beloved by many. She displayed her never ending compassion by volunteering at senior residential facilities and contributing to African relief. Her generous spirit led her to provide clothing, finances and meals to those who were less fortunate than she. Lynn never hesitated in expressing her genuine love for her friends, family and those around her.
Some of Lynn's most memorable moments include her having the second highest GPA in her graduating class from Norfolk State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, enjoying a brief time as a fashion model and successfully managing retail boutiques as a teenager.
Divorced, Lynn raised her only son, Lawrence Leo Hawkins Jr. and is survived by her son and siblings, Jil Y. Wilson, Denise Ewing Williams, Theodora Osibogun and Paul C. Ewing Jr. Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Sunday, October 21, 2012 from 4 to 5 p.m. at Hale Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held, Monday, October 22 at 1 p.m. at the Hale Funeral Home, 2100 Ballentine Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23504.
