Madelynn Andrews Obituary

Madelynn G. Andrews VIRGINIA BEACH - Baby Madelynn Grace Andrews joined our heavenly Father and His angels Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010 at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in the arms of her parents, Jason and Rebecca Andrews. Maddie laughed and smiled throughout her 5 months of precious life; bringing joy and happiness to everyone she touched. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her big sister, Teagan Jean, who shall turn 2 years old in February 2011. Also left to cherish her memory are six grandparents, five great-grandparents and many other relatives and friends who loved Maddie very much. Jason and Rebecca would like to thank Christine "Nana" Musick, the dedicated firefighters with Station 3 in Chesapeake, the staff at Chesapeake General Hospital Emergency and Portsmouth Naval PICU. A very special thank you to Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Greenbrier Dental Center, family and friends who through the chain of prayers and support gave the strength that has been needed. To the children who received Maddie's organs - May you be blessed with health and happiness! A visitation will be held Sunday, Dec. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. A funeral will be held at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veteran's Cemetery in Suffolk, Monday, Dec. 13, at 3 p.m. Condolences may be expressed to www.altmeyer.com.

I heard about this through a friend that was at the dentist and Madelynn's mom was there. My friend brought her baby Olivia in and Madelynn's mom held on to Olivia while Amy had her dental work done talking about what a special girl she had at home. Amy told me this story, then I heard about this it brought tears to my eyes. I have a very close friend that lost an angel at 3 months my thought and prayers are with you and your family.

I am the Nana of Talynn Marone, who is one of the playmates of your daughters. My thoughts and prayers for the family have been constant since recieving the news from my daughter, Robynn Marone. I pray that God will wrap his arms around you. I was told on the death of my family memeber on Christmas Day, what better place to be than with Jesus on his birthday. I hope this thought will give you some peace as it gives me this time of year. love in Christ, Karen Bailey
