Mary Etheridge Obituary

Mary Worrell Etheridge NORFOLK - Mrs. Mary Virginia Worrell Etheridge, 92, of McMurray, Pa., died Oct. 16, 2010 at The Pines of Mount Lebanon. She was born in Handson, Southampton County, Virginia, the daughter of the late John Robert Worrell and Mary Adele Bowles Worrell and the widow of Thomas W. Etheridge of Chesterfield Heights, Norfolk. She was a member of Talbot Park Baptist Church in Norfolk. Mrs. Etheridge was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Worrell Williams Bateman of Elizabeth City, N.C. She is survived by three nephews, Roderick Williams and his wife Judy, Robert Williams and his wife Linda all of McMurray, Pa., and Jeffery Dunning and his wife June of Chesapeake. Mrs. Etheridge had many great and great-great-nieces and -nephews living in Virginia, North Carolina, Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania. She retired from the Norfolk Naval Supply Center, was a member of the Ocean View Chapter No. 34 of the Eastern Star, and Monticello Charter 1145 of the American Business Women's Association. The funeral will be conducted Saturday, Oct. 23, at 10:30 a.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, in Norfolk. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, Oct. 22, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Talbot Park Baptist Church. Dear Bob, Rob and Family,
