Maude C. Allford PORTSMOUTH - Maude Croxton Allford, 90, of the 5100 block of Portsmouth Blvd., passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011 in her residence after complications from kidney failure. She was born May 4, 1921 in Warsaw, Va., and was a member of Portsmouth Assembly of God. Maude was preceded in death by her husband, Caldwell Allford; her parents, Wilbur and Fannie Maude Smith; and two great-grandchildren. She is survived by five daughters, Faye Coates and her husband Kenny, Peggy Ann Lane and husband Alvin, Sandra Eanes and her friend Elton Wells, Janice Marshall and her husband Chuck, and Debbie Frye and her husband Eddie; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, in Portsmouth Assembly of God, 912 Elmhurst Lane, Portsmouth 23701 by the Rev. Homer Peterson. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
