Nathaniel Chisholm Obituary

Nathaniel Chisholm PORTSMOUTH - Nathaniel Chisholm, 85, of the 1400 block of Carson Crescent West, died May 23, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Chester, S.C., and was a self- employed building contractor and retired in 1995 after 60 years of service. He was a member of Noble Street Baptist Church. Survivors include his son, Donald Chisholm of Portsmouth, two sisters, two brothers, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces. A funeral will be held Thursday, May 27, at 1 p.m. at Noble Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Henry Jones presiding. Burial will follow in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will be receiving other relatives and friends at 1600 Loren Crescent, Portsmouth. Corprew Funeral Home is in charge.

Sorry to hear of your great loss. Remember to keep your hands in the hand of the Master In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. To Donald Chisholm and family, my prayers and condolesence are with you in the passing of Mr. Chisholm. Our parents had been neighbors for many years and I will miss speaking to your dad when I would come over to their house.
