Nora Moore-Creef Obituary

Nora Moore-Creef CHESAPEAKE - Nora Virginia Moore-Creef, 96, of the 600 block of Kingsborough Square, went to be with the Lord Monday Nov. 22, 2010. The daughter of the late John Sykes and Rose Culpepper Sykes, she was born in Norfolk County on Nov. 20, 1914. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Knox Moore and a daughter, Carolyn Starrette and second husband, Wilton Creef. She was a member of Glengariff Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Billy Moore and his wife Gail; four grandchildren, Karen Batten and husband Terry, Kevin Starrette and wife Tammie, Wendy Jones and husband Kenny and Stephanie Snyder and husband Warren; seven great- grandchildren and a devoted niece, Shelby White. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held Friday, Nov. 26, at Riverside Memorial Park at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ernest Trueblood officiating. Please visit her "Book of Memories" at www.grahamfuneralhome.com where you may leave a note to the family.
