Norma Jeanne White Gordon Hudgins|
Williamsburg - Norma Jeanne White Gordon Hudgins, passed away December 30, 2013 in Williamsburg, Va. Mrs. Hudgins was born in Ronceverte, W. Va. on January 14, 1920. She was preceded in death by her loving husbands, Howard Hoffman Gordon Sr. and Paul Stuart Hudgins.
Mrs. Hudgins was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a generous and loyal friend to many. As the wife of a Presbyterian minister she was involved in numerous activities in the church. Mrs. Hudgins loved music and poetry and was an avid collector. She traveled the world and amassed a beautiful collection of Santa Clauses about which she would frequently lecture and display. Her belief in the philosophy of Santa and Christmas was reflected in the way she lived her life.
She is survived by her sister Lou White of Illinois, her four children and their spouses: Howard Hoffman Gordon Jr., and Roberta Saxon, Dr Douglas Kirke Gordon and Dr Linda Gordon, Melinda Gordon Perkins and William Lawrence Perkins lll and David Christopher Gordon. Grandchildren, Kirke Gordon Lewis and Catherine Gordon, Christopher Lawrence Perkins and Jennifer Perkins Hodges, Joseph and Daniel Gordon and Great grand children Fiona and Ailsa Lewis, Grace and Carter Perkins, and Alex and Zoe Hodges.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Merrill, the Sentara Hospice nurses and the third floor nurses of Williamsburg Sentara who cared so skillfully and compassionately for her.
The family also thanks the loving staff at Chambrell of Williamsburg where Mrs. Hudgins lived for three years.
