Olin Roberson Obituary

Olin L. Roberson Jr. CHESAPEAKE - Olin Lendon Roberson Jr., 86, passed away peacefully at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center Sept. 13, 2010 with family by his side. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Olin L. Roberson of Georgia. Raised in Georgia, he was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He retired from the Naval Air Rework Facility at the Naval Air Station in Norfolk after more than 30 years of service. His hobbies included boat racing, metal machining, and short wave radio. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 65 years, Grace D. Roberson; his son, Olin L. Roberson III of Chesapeake; and grandsons Mark and Michael. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the American Heart Association. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.altmeyer.com.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, the boys and your mother. Lendon was a fine, fine man, a devoted husband and a wonderful grandfather to Mark and Michael. It was a privilege to know him.
